Hello! Welcome to my blog. I’m Monica, I am a wife and mother to 5 kids – one boy and four girls.

I never thought I would ever be crafty or sew anything. I am a self taught sewist and I didn’t start until my mid 20s. The first thing I made was an ugly quilt – but I learned how to hand quilt, sew blocks together, got a good lesson in fabric choices and made pico edges. I tell people all the time – if I can do this “sew” can you! I am glad that I stuck with it and I am so happy that you found me. I love sewing it is my outlet and the place I hide to eat chocolate and create beautiful things. I make a lot of mistakes, but that’s ok!

I am so glad that you found me, I hope that you will come back often to see what new things I am up to.

Besides sewing I love to read, I run a skincare business, I am a taxi service for my kids, I love to cook and bake and I really, really, love to eat!

I was adopted as a baby from South Korea and I am currently trying to see if I can track down any biological relatives. UPDATE: I found out that I was abandoned in a small village, Tae Neung which can no longer be found. I have hit a dead end at this point. I can try to pursue an independent search, but right now, I am ok with how everything turned out.

Someday, I really want to go back to Korea to see where my life started.
