Do you love to change the look of your home without breaking the bank? I do! I tried to find pillows for my bedroom and living room, but couldn’t ever find anything I loved. I decided I needed to make them myself.
Guess what? They are easier than you think. You can make a removable pillow cover that you can change throughout the year or the holidays or wash if you *cough* spill something on them. Not that I would ever do that, but one of my lovely five kids might.

Materials:
Pillow Form: I used a 14″ X 14″
Fabric: 1/2 yard will work for my pillow
Trim: 1/2 yard – optional
Instructions:

Cut your fabric one inch taller than the height of your pillow – my pillow is 14″ so I cut it 15″ X twice the length of your pillow + 8″. This sounds complicated, but it isn’t.
My pillow is 14″ X 14″, I cut my fabric:
15″ X 36″ (14 x 2=28, 28 + 8 = 36″). I like math so this makes sense to me, hopefully I didn’t just confuse you.
Next, finish the raw edges on the both 15″ sides.
Finally, place fabric right side up and make a 14″ box overlapping the fabric. Sew the raw edges. Turn right side out! You are done.
It really is that easy. You can add trim to give it a fun look.

Come back for more fun projects! Thanks for stopping by.
