Create Your Own Fairy House and Doll with Cricut Maker

This experience is based strictly on my opinion.  Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product listed above.  I was provided the sample free of charge by the company or PR agency and I have given my honest opinion.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

When you have a house with four girls in it, this is exactly the kind of easy, fun project you need.
I love being able to pull out my Cricut Maker and having my girls help me make something. The possibilities are endless. I have teamed up with some talented bloggers to show you 50 FREE projects you can make using the Cricut Maker. Also, on October 3, 2017 over at HSN you can get the Cricut Maker with a bunch of other goodies.

FAIRY HOUSE

12 X 12 Fabric for the house top
12 X 12 Fabric for house bottom
Coordinating felt for window out lines
Heat n’ Bond fusible fabric interface
Hot Glue Gun

Optional:
Wooden Plank
Small stones
Moss for decorating

Cut out the top and bottom of the house – don’t mind my messy mat. It still works! Can you believe it? Another reason to love these products. You can continue to use them after they get grubby. You can cut the fabric using the Cricut Maker without adding any type of stabilizer to the back. However, I added Heat n Bond so I could attach the fabric to a piece of felt. It makes it more sturdy.

After you cut the pieces out you need to put them together, I used hot glue to create the them – it’s fast and easy. It will hold really well too!

After you cut the fabric, I cut a piece of felt and then iron the fabric to it.

I did the same thing for the bottom piece. I used the light felt to cut out the window casing and attached using hot glue.

Then attach the top to the bottom and you are done. Super easy and look how cute it is. I think it would be fun to make another one using Halloween fabric or other holiday fabric and decorate for the different seasons.

 Earth Fairy

My girls all want one of these. I think I will be making them each one. My oldest daughter wrapped the arms and body. She added shoes because she liked how it looked.

Supplies:
 Cricut Midnight Vinyl

Cricut Iron On Glitter, Green
Felt Green
Felt Brown
Pipe Cleaner
1″ Bead
Embroidery Floss – Flesh Tone
Embroidery Floss – Gold
Embroidery Floss – Green
Embroidery Floss – Brown
Brown Pom Poms

Cut the pipe cleaner into one 4″ section and one 8″ section. Use the 8″ section for body and legs and the 4″ section for the arms. I added a little glue to keep the arms in place.

Wrap body with flesh colored embroidery floss.

Hot glue the bead to the body. Wrap body in embroidery floss to match.

Cut the fairy wings out of felt – be sure to choose felt as the material when beginning. Cut out skirt as well.

I cut the glitter vinyl out and weeding then attached to the felt using my awesome Easy Press.

I added glitter iron on to both sides.

I added hair by hot glueing strands of embroidery floss to the top. I braided three strands together and glued them on the top as well. You could paint the hair color on if you choose.

My girls loved this project. They are ready to make more tomorrow. I love that you can really customize each fairy – your favorite color, change the hair, etc. This machine really gives you the opportunity to create professional looking crafts. They are cut perfectly and so precise.
